How can I check allergen information?
We provide allergen information on recipe cards and/or ingredient packaging. We recommend reviewing the ingredients in each recipe before placing your order to ensure our meals meet your needs. We strongly recommend that customers with food allergen sensitivities or restrictions carefully review individual product packages for the most updated information regarding ingredients and allergen declaration before consuming. Additionally, we recommend reviewing the ingredient list on our website, prior to selecting meals, to determine if they contain any ingredients you are unable to consume.
Do you offer plans for special dietary needs?
Our priority is to keep prices low, so we do not cater for special diets yet, such as keto, gluten-free, paleo, low carb or vegan. We do offer a range of 26 diverse recipes every week that are well suited to regular diets.
Do you provide nutritional information for your meals?
Yes. The nutrition information for each meal under a recipe’s Nutrition Values on our website is an estimation present in one serving “As Prepared”. “As Prepared” is the nutrition analysis of the ingredients we send for a recipe and their respective culinary amounts with the addition of pantry items listed in the “What You’ll Need” section of the recipe card. For salt, only when a quantified measurement of salt is instructed to be used in the recipe is it included in our nutrition analysis. All other mentions of salt use are not. We use the nutrition information for kosher salt in our analysis.
Full nutritional estimates per serving on a Nutrition Facts Panel can be downloaded 5 days before your delivery by clicking on “View complete nutritional info” on each recipe detail page. Please note that we purchase our ingredients from several different suppliers, so nutritional details may vary slightly.
How do I sort my ingredients?
Your recipe cards contain all of the information you need to sort through your delivery. Reference the ingredient list on the front of the recipe cards to know exactly what goes in each meal.
Can I use olive oil instead of vegetable oil?
Yes. Vegetable oil is a large category of oil that includes olive oil, canola oil, soybean oil, peanut oil, and many others. When we call for vegetable oil, we are most likely cooking at high temperatures, so feel free to use whichever neutral oil you have on hand.
If you only have olive oil, use it. When we call specifically for olive oil, we are looking for you to take advantage of its delicate flavor and encourage you to use olive oil, specifically.
Where do you source your ingredients?
Our suppliers vary by week and region. When we choose our suppliers, our first priority is to get to know them and ensure the highest quality of all ingredients.
What kitchen tools will I need?
We encourage EveryPlate customers to have a trusty pot, pan, baking sheet, knife, and cutting board. Select recipes may also suggest the use of a zester, peeler, potato masher, whisk, strainer, or aluminum foil.
What’s included in each box?
In every box we include all of the ingredients you need to make three delicious meals, with the exception of a few pantry items (e.g. salt and pepper). You’ll also find recipe cards with step-by-step instructions for each meal. Our ingredients are carefully packed and insulated to ensure they arrive to you at peak freshness.
I didn't receive my recipe cards. What do I do?
Oops! We're sorry about that.
The recipes are available online, so you can view and even print them out. Just select the right week in the menu on the homepage to find what you are looking for.
How long will my ingredients stay fresh?
To ensure your ingredients stay at the peak of freshness in which they were packed, we recommend storing all items at refrigerated temperatures. With the exception of seafood, all ingredients should be cooked and consumed within five days of delivery. Seafood should be cooked and consumed within 2 days of delivery. Do not refreeze ingredients.
