OK – you want a personalised number plate for your car. You've checked out the DVLA website and what you want has already gone. You've looked at lists in newspapers or on the web from number plate brokers only to be horrified by the prices asked. Is there another way? This site allows owners of number plates for sale to advertise them for free. It also allows owners to list their plates out of curiosity over how much someone would be prepared to offer for them.
If you know the plate you are after type it into the right hand side search box marked 'Plate Search'. This will bring up the plate you’re looking for if it has been listed or plates similar to it that have been added to our database. You can input a whole plate or part of it – it's your choice – and our search engine will list the closest matches we have.
If you are looking for a plate to match your name, hobbies, profession or sports team for example type in an appropriate key word. If you are a plumber for example you could type in plumber that may bring up number plates suck as P1PES, T4PPS, W4TER, S1NKS etc.. We encourage sellers to be as imaginative as they can. Their creativity could suggest a plate that's right for you.
If you find a plate you want to bid on feel free to do so! The seller could accept or reject your offer or could suggest a figure to you.
Make sure you don't lose your head and offer something that you can't afford! Once a deal has been agreed you will be asked to pay a deposit of £150 to secure the deal. That deposit is NOT refundable if you back out on the deal later so please be sure you want to go through with the deal before agreeing to it and sending your deposit! If the seller backs out you will be reimbursed in full.
